The school board has officially approved the renaming of the field to honor Ryan. It is a quiet comfort to know his name will remain a part of the game he loved so much at Garrett High. Thank you for helping carry this forward to completion.

Final supporters
Ryan loved the game of baseball and especially loved playing it while representing Garrett High School. I think that changing the baseball fields name to "Ryan Hathaway Memorial Field" is a nice little thing we can do to pay homage to him. Although I don't think that we could ever do enough to pay tribute to him, I think this is a nice little gesture. RIP buddy❤

I didn't know him, but that would be very awesome to have a memorial field for something he loved to do.
I owe Ryan more than anyone will ever understand.. he jas one of the biggest hearts out there and this would be perfect for him....
Ryan was an amazing guy and a great role model for me in baseball. Always a blast to be around. I think naming this field after him is amazing!
It would be crazy not too. He loved his team, he loved the game. It's the only logical way to honor him!
I played baseball with Ryan in Garrett. As a graduate of the 2012 class, baseball alumni, and a current collegiate baseball player I believe this will be a wonderful service to his memory.
the schools owes this to him ,since they would not offer grief counseling to ghs students
