I had Russ for phy ed and football the first year he was here. A funny guy who was a lot calmer than some other phy ed teachers and coaches at the time!

As a knuckleheaded kid playing football back in 1980 I look back and see this man as having had the patience of Job. Thanks for making a difference in my life.

I've known Russ for years and Red Wing has never had a better teacher and coach. He was tough, but fair. I also played softball against and with Russ for a long time. Being a teammate was a lot more fun than being an opponent! Wonderful guy!

I knew Coach Marshall through high school. It wasn't until later that I got to really know him through ice fishing.
