No person deserves the death penalty especially an innocent person. Governor Abbott it's time to stop murdering our fellow human beings.

As far as I remember Me my cousin Mark and Rudy grew up together in the neighborhood where my cousin lived. And as I knew Rudy growing up he was a good friend and still is to this day no matter how this gentleman is being judged. We all make mistakes and I believe in being responsible for your own actions, believe me I've lived mine so far. But we must all understand that by this judgment that he has gotten was not fair and yes we can say life is not fair. Though I know that there is an almighty GOD in heaven that He has the final say so in everyone's life and if we all stand by faith with GOD and Rudy and everyone that supports him. This will be a testimony to everyone including the state of Texas that God does His judgement the right way with His children. I strongly believe Rudy is a child of God as well as the rest of us and I'm sure he is standing in faith and prayer that it is possible for him to get another chance in his case. So with that let's stand in prayer and faith that Rudy Medrano can be set free not only get another chance at his case but set free so he can return to his children back home that await for him with open arms. If GOD opened the gates and let lose the chains from prison for Peter in the New Testament of the Bible, then what more can He do for our good friend Rudy. Amen Amen Amen !!! See you soon Rudy!!!

I don't even know Rudy, but after researching his situation, I must say this ruling is absolutely disgusting. I am highly disappointed that we as a state would allow people that commit actual murders to gain freedom after 20 years or so...and then sentence the death penalty to someone who wasn't directly related to the deaths of the victims. My heart goes out to the families of those that lost their lives. However every fiber of my soul tells me that an innocent man is about to be put to death for a crime he did not commit. If this is what Texas calls justice, then I would rather not be a Texan anymore...the shame...

I don't think Rudy was fairly sentenced. He deserves a chance and should have his life spared. He has a son that needs him in his life.

I will echo most comments and say that he was a very intelligent and kind person. Please review his case. This man does not deserve such a harsh sentence.

I knew Rudy from highschool he was a good friend of my husband as well Florentino "TIno" Bernal. I always knew him to be a very nice and humble guy in school i wish my husband was hear to sign your petition but unfortunately he passed away in a boating accident in 2008 im sure he would have more postive memories of Rudy i honestly think Rudy got caught up with the wrong crowd at a young age and was easliy infulenced i believe he deserves a second chance to rehabilitate and give back to society something postive.

He was a very nice guy as I recall back in school. This is so sad and he had nothing to do with it. He doesn't deserve to be in there. What a shame for the Texas system.
