We are approaching the one hundred signature mark which is the baseline requirement for the initial evidentiary packet I am preparing for the Board of Pardons and Paroles. I pray the signatures needed for this petition exceed its goal, but most importantly I pray that Rodolfo 'Rudy' Medrano be granted a second chance; a fair & just hearing.
I know Rudy since we were in Elementary school and he is a very smart, intelligent, and caring person!! Never did I think he would end up in such an unfortunate situation! He deserves to have his case reviewed give him the opportunity to prove his innocence and take him out of death row!
Rudy is a great person. He doesn't deserve bring on death row. He shouldn't be paying for a crime he didn't commit. He was not there. His biggest mistake was hanging around with the wrong crowd which happens to the best of us.
I understand there is a punishment needed but he was not involved in the shooting he was not the trigger man nor was he around nor was he aware of what was guna happen death is not what should be done there plenty who should be up for that but where are they on probation or walking with a slap in the had.
I grew up with Rudy.. The Rudy i know couldnt and will not hurt anyone.. I remember one day after school as we walked home.. We use 2 talk and laugh about our plans for our future.. Rudy was a very out goin person . He was always laughing and finding the good things in life..

This man has always claimed his innocents. Since I met him at the hidalgo county jail . I have visited him on death row several times. An In justus has been done to this man and his family. Our prayers I believe have been answered. The truth coming out. This mans must be release.
