The government has finally intervened and the strike has been resolved. Thousands of stranded passengers are now able to complete their journeys back home. I am grateful to everyone who supported this initiative until we reached a successful conclusion.

Govt should intervene to finish the Air India Strike- Risala Study Circle

Risala Study Circle, On Behalf of the Expatriate Community of GCC countries in requesting the immediate interference of the Honorable Minister for Civil Aviation to the unreasonable strike conducted by Air India Staff and put an end to the misery of thousands of passengers who have been stranded at various countries due to the irresponsible behaviour of the National Carrier.
We strongly recommend the Govt., Civila Aviation and Air India Authoritees to solve the issue immediately.എയര് ഇന്ത്യാ പൈലറ്റുമാരുടെ സമരം ഒത്തു തീര്പ്പാകാതെ ആഴ്ചകള് പിന്നിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. സമരത്തെത്തുടര്ന്ന് വിമാനങ്ങള് റദ്ദാക്കപ്പെടുമ്പോള് കഷ്ടത്തിലാകുന്നത് പ്രവാസി മലയാളികളാണ്. വിമാന യാത്രാ നിരക്ക് കുത്തനെ ഉയര്ന്ന ഈ കാലത്ത് വിമാനങ്ങള് റദ്ദാക്കുന്നതു വഴി, യാത്ര മുടങ്ങുന്നതിനൊപ്പം വന് തുകയും നഷ്ടത്തിലാകുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യക്കാര്ക്ക് ആശ്രയമാകേണ്ട ദേശീയ വിമാനം അതിന്റെ പോരായ്മകള് നിരന്തരം പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്.
സര്ക്കാര് ഇക്കാര്യത്തില് അടിയന്തര നടപടിയാണ് സ്വീകരിക്കേണ്ടത്. മന്ത്രി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച പുതിയ പൈലറ്റുമാരുടെ നിയമനം ഉടന് ആരംഭിക്കണം. ജനങ്ങളോട് ഉത്തരവാദിത്തമില്ലാതെ വിമാനങ്ങള് റദ്ദാക്കപ്പെടുന്ന വിധം സമരം നടത്തുന്ന പൈലറ്റുമാരെ പിരിച്ചു വിടണം. നടപടികള് വൈകുന്നുവെങ്കില് സൈന്യത്തിന്റെ സഹായം തേടി പൈലറ്റുമാരെ ലഭ്യമാക്കണം. യുദ്ധകാലാടിസ്ഥാനത്തില് തീര്പ്പാക്കേണ്ട പ്രശ്നത്തില് പൈലറ്റുമാരെപ്പോലെ സര്ക്കാറും അലംഭാവം കാട്ടരുതായിരുന്നു. ഇനിയും നടപടി വൈകിപ്പിക്കരുതെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്നു.

Fire those pilots who are striking and hire new ones. We cant keep being held hostage like this.
Sick and tired of these constant strikes. The national carrier should be reliable but it is a disgrace.
This is totaly unacceptable. Why should passengers pay the price for their internal fights? Fix it now.
Lost so much money on rebooking. The airline doesnt care about the common man at all.
Enough is enough. My cousin is stuck in Dubai because of this nonsense. People have jobs and families to get back to!!!

Govt needs to stop acting like they cant do anything. Use the air force pilots if you have to. Just get the planes moving.
