Rowing is a sport that has an incredibly diverse appeal for people of all fitness levels, for those looking for fresh air and a new hobby to elite competitors, and for a wide span of ages, from 12 to 75+. The ability to row on the Occoquan offers an amazing opportunity for our high school students and is a wonderful asset to PWC residents of all ages. The current facility is not adequate to support the growing demand so please help make rowing accessible to more people in PWC!

As an alumni rowing out of that facility in High School was formative to my college and masters level competitive rowing and overall community engagement.

With the growth in the number of high schools in PWC as well as the level of participation in this sport, a new boathouse is past due already. Please prioritize building an appropriately sized facility.

student activities- such as clubs and teams- help promote the development of passion, discipline and leadership from a young age. it is important for us students to be able to keep growing as future professionals, with appropriate planning and funds for such activities. lets support fp crew!!!

Our current boathouse is so far over originally designed capacity that it isn’t even funny. We have upwards of 500 high school athletes alone and would have more if we had space in the existing structure.
