The crew program in both my daughter’s high school as well as the Prince William Rowing Club has been such a positive influence on my daughter and her friends. Upgrading the boathouse will be a huge step forward in supporting crew activities for the entire county.

Please provide resources for this great sport to continue to cross culture and ethnic boundaries. Let’s all row together!

The LTR program at PWCA taught me how to row and now I love rowing! I'm going on to try out for my school's crew team.

rowing programs at the Oxford Boathouse have kept my child doing something he loved and something positive through a hard time in his life due to family situation . He has made lifelong friends. The program has done so much!

Please consider the positive impact the rowing programs of all member schools as well as adult rowing programs. Help the staff and volunteers continue to grow and promote the sport of rowing to the community.

My daughter discovered rowing two years ago, and has thrived in both the school and county programs. This sport not only teaches the importance of healthy living and teamwork, but also brings awareness to the impact we have on our environment. As the newest high school crew program, there isn’t room in the current boathouse for us. A new boathouse would allow current programs to grow, and provide the opportunity for other schools to create teams.

Rowing has greatly improved my sons life! He has found a wonderful community of passionate coaches and kids from all over the county to share his afternoons with. As a parent, I love the teamwork that is required of rowers and the many hours of practice keep our youth engaged and out of the dangers of being bored and making poor choices.

We really need this for the kids and adults who love the sport of crew. It would be great to have a PWC boathouse that supports the journey of so many athletes that are gaining better health, more strength and lots of confidence and joy from an amazing sport. It also keeps more people aware of the Occoquan river that we all need to protect!
