The feedback regarding our current janitorial staff continues to emphasize the value of their long-term presence in our schools. I am currently organizing these testimonials to present to the administration during our upcoming review process.

The momentum behind this petition highlights how much our community values the current janitorial staff. It is clear that the work these individuals perform is essential to the stability of our school system.

Even if the custodians are hired on with a new company will they keep the same pay and benefits? Can you guarantee NO one will get a pay cut or loose anything at. Some of the custodial staff are closing in on retirement age in a few years. If they loose their job because it costs to much to keep them how will they get a new job at their age? No one wants to hire older people.

This is typical of Rochester. I grew up here and I remember always having great communication with our janitors. My grandchildren like their janitors. We trust the ones we have now. You never know what you will get when you out source.

I would like to keep the staff that are known and trusted to be around our children. The families that work here are in need for their family and it doesn't seem right to pay them less for a job that they are doing well.

They did this to the cafeteria staff several years ago & it was never the same. I know, I worked there for over 25 years.

As a parent that has had to interact with the janitors of our school system, please keep them! Not only do they do a great job keeping the schools clean. They are willing to help when settIng up for PTO events, letting us in to get my child's medical bag. And even the interaction with them while my son is at wrestling practice in the junior high. You know what you have now if you go to a company you don't know who or what quality you will get.

The jobs should remain as they are now with the Janitorial staff. They do a great job and also are like family to the teachers and students. I see no reason to bring in another company all cause you want to save a little money. If you want to save a little more money why don't you cut back a bit on the spending of sports or buildings or even your administrative salaries.
