Even if the custodians are hired on with a new company will they keep the same pay and benefits? Can you guarantee NO one will get a pay cut or loose anything at. Some of the custodial staff are closing in on retirement age in a few years. If they loose their job because it costs to much to keep them how will they get a new job at their age? No one wants to hire older people.

This is typical of Rochester. I grew up here and I remember always having great communication with our janitors. My grandchildren like their janitors. We trust the ones we have now. You never know what you will get when you out source.

Please keep the team together. These people care about the kids, what they do and are part of the school family as the students understand it.

I would like to keep the staff that are known and trusted to be around our children. The families that work here are in need for their family and it doesn't seem right to pay them less for a job that they are doing well.

Please keep our custodians. We are already losing our small town feel in this community. Keep our custodians!!

Keep the current staff. This is ridiculous that this is even being considered.

Why do you want to outsource ? Always looks great when I go in.

Don't outsource. The kids absolutely love them and they look out for each and every kid.

They did this to the cafeteria staff several years ago & it was never the same. I know, I worked there for over 25 years.

It's important to keep these jobs local to support our community. Paying an outside organization to do these jobs is not the appropriate way to save money.

Save the janitors

There's no need to out source these jobs. Don't let Rochester turn into "every other town" across this state.

As a parent that has had to interact with the janitors of our school system, please keep them! Not only do they do a great job keeping the schools clean. They are willing to help when settIng up for PTO events, letting us in to get my child's medical bag. And even the interaction with them while my son is at wrestling practice in the junior high. You know what you have now if you go to a company you don't know who or what quality you will get.

The jobs should remain as they are now with the Janitorial staff. They do a great job and also are like family to the teachers and students. I see no reason to bring in another company all cause you want to save a little money. If you want to save a little more money why don't you cut back a bit on the spending of sports or buildings or even your administrative salaries.

I would prefer to keep staff we know and trust in our schools.
