In an effort to accelerate home appreciation and improve curb appeal the guidelines should be changed so that it would allow, with professional guidance, colors that are below the current LRV range of 20 . From a survey of local realtors, having a wider range of current colors within a neighborhood allows its uniqueness to stand out and adds to the value of home appreciation.

With the utilization of a professional decorator or paint color specialist they can evaluated the home and surrounding area and determined best color schemes based on current exterior trends. This process will allow us as a community to continue our focus on adding aesthetic value to our community.

Updates

September 10, 2018

I was just looking at the page and realized how many people actually want these paint colors changed and honestly I am kind of shocked by the response. It feels like we are actually going to get someone to listen to us about these curb appeal rules because this momentum is just so wild to watch unfold.

The current rules are so outdated. My neighbor painted their house a darker shade and it looks awesome. We need to catch up with the times.

YES. Please. Tired of living in a beige box.

I totally agree with the comments that we need to expand the color choices and that we are too monochromatic. Livening up the choices is a good idea and will help to freshen up our appearance!

I definitely agree that modern colors should be part of the neighborhood aesthetic.

LRV of less than 20 is much more modern and looks great on the houses that lready have it.

Agreed - current LRV limit is restrictive. Would've preferred a darker color, when I repainted in 2017. Wider range will lead to a more attractive neighborhood. Currently too monochromatic.
