What an inconsiderate thing to do! No thought for the grieving families at all. Shameful!

It don't matter what we shout about sign or not sign the council think they are above peoples feelings. They change agreements made to suit themselves when it works in their favour. My 18 year old sister died and was buried in Feb 1999 and cause the council didn't honour the plot we purchased for her and the layout of further burials she had to be exhumed taken out of her casket, because they never put sufficient drainage in the land so the casket was bogged in. To then be re buried in another plot in a body bag months and months after we had originally laid her to rest, leaving behind all the momentos, placed in her casket from her loved ones. Shame on you Leeds city council my mum has nightmares that her daughter will forever rest in a body bag all because of your failing to do what you promise. So give these people the only nice thing that they can do for their resting loved ones. Keep your noises out they have purchased those plots. You've taken the money and cashed it. If I was you I'd focus on fixing all the subsiding stones caused from you lack of initial drainage, not forgetting the stones that have fallen crumbled with age. Then maybe you can dare talk about flowers.

Surely if family get a sense of peace and tranquility from planting something on land that they have bought .it can't be wrong.

I can't understand the reasoning behind this - what are the council trying to achieve? This is a massive error in judgement and they should be ashamed.

Callous and cruel. How could a council do this to the greiving families and to what gain? I hope the families win their battle.

It's discraseful how they think they can do this to grieving families all they want to do is carry on showing their love to their lost ones while they rest. Let people do what they want to show their love for eachother. Let families decorate the headstones as they please

I think you should be able to plant, as it shows love for the loss of a loved one. It's disgusting what they do to the graves
