Freedom is an indispensable part of being an American. The government has a duty to affirm and uphold constitutionally-protected freedoms, not attack and undermine these freedoms especially in the Nation's Capital.
We urge the Mayor of the District of the District of Columbia to veto the Reproductive Health Non-Discrimination Amendment Act.
Otherwise it would prevent religious employers from making employment decisions to protect their religious mission and identity. As such itwould violate their right to freely exercise their religion protected by the First Amendment and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. It would alsolead to further government interference into the governance and operations of faith communities.
Please let Mayor Muriel Bowser hear your voices loud and clear!

This is a direct attack on the first amendment. Why is the government always trying to force their agenda on religious groups?
Religious freedom is the backbone of this country. Leave faith organizations alone to practice what they believe.
Ridiculous overreach. Hands off our churches!
Veto this now. The government has no business telling churches how to run their own staff.
We have rights and we should be able to hire people who actually support our mission. Stop trying to destroy our beliefs.
