This petition calls for the reinstatement of the UNCG wrestling program that was eliminated by Kim Record in 2011. The signers of this petition believe that wrestling provides athletic excellence, discipline, confidence, and overall enriches the lives of the student athletes that participate in the sport. The signers also believe that the sport is financially viable when considering the impact of college wrestling events for fundraising for the college and local community. The Southern Scuffle and Super 32 are great examples of wrestling events that have brought thousands of dollars to the local economy of Greensboro through tourism.
