I lived in Newcastle East for 3 years and always walked by this building wishing it would be restored. It's in a great location and would be a much better venue for mid size acts! (I don't bother going to venues like the Cambridge as I can never see a thing with the standing room only)

We need to keep our ÀLL of the beautiful buildings from
yesteryears ~ It's our Australian heritage &.history as a younger developed nation. Not only for their beauty of their style, but for younger generations to see, know & appreciate architecture of the past .
I would love to be entertained in such a beautiful building.

Also a great location for many students in surrounding rural areas to be able to visit the theatre for educational purposes

This building not only should be revived but must be revived. The arts are far more important to our society than they are given credit.

The Victoria theatre would look lovely all done up again, adding economic growth, more jobs to the community, and an added boost to the culture of Newcastle

I worked in the Victoria Theatre in the 60's for Sound of Music stage play and many other amazing productions. The acoustics are great decor still in tact and it must be returned to it's original glory because it is a very important part of NEWCASTLE OLD TOWN and Australia's very important cinema and stage play history.
