This is a wonderful theatre and is worthy of a beautiful restoration project. It will add to the development projects taking place in the local precinct.

With all of the modernisation of Newcastle East, it's more important than ever that heritage buildings are preserved but also updated to be functional. I will cross my fingers and hope that it will be brought back to life.

It is so important for our local heritage and that of NSW to see this building restored to its full potential. When so much if Newcastle’s heritage is being unnecessarily destroyed to make way for “progress” the restoration of this building should be encouraged and its history protected.

The revitalisation of Newcastle east is too focused in providing accomodation to up market retirees.
It needs to have a real focus on being an entertainment precinct. A few food trucks and buskers is really not what a city with Newcastle potential need.
World class venues showcasing the unique history of Newcastle is the caliber of entertainment that we should be striving for. The Victoria theatre could an important part of making the his precinct. Other ideas need to be added like swimming complex, modern galleries, and movie theatres.
Victoria would be a fantastic start.
