REVITALIZE THE BOSTON WATERFRONT
SUPPORT A GREEN, MIXED-USE
LANDMARK ON THE GREENWAY
The signatures on this petition are in support of an iconic, green, mixed-use complex on the Harbor Garage site (http://www.geocities.com/harborgarageboston/HarborGarage.html) adjacent to the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway.
Program:
- Ample open space
- Retail
- Office
- Hotel
- Residences
- Underground parking
Community Benefits:
- Job creation
- Tax revenue
- Walkable and livable, 24-hour cities attract residents and support innovation
- Opens harbor views to Greenway pedestrians
- Provides a physical link between the Harbor Walk and the Greenway
- Populates the Greenway
- Celebrates Boston's rich history as well as it's bright future
- Provides a model for sustainable/green development in the United States
- Acts as a beacon for the Greenway, bringing tourists and residents to the Aquarium and Downtown/Waterfront as well as boost Boston's international reputation
I am spending this week meeting with local planning boards to push for the Harbor Garage site development. Post this link on Facebook and email your city representative to tell them you want a walkable green waterfront now.

More jobs and actual green space instead of an empty parking lot sound like a win win to me. hope this happens soon.

YES. The views are blocked and it’s just ugly concrete. A real green space would be so much better for the neighborhood.

Finally some progress. That area is dead at night. Needs more than just a parking garage.

The garage is a total eyesore. Tear it down and lets get something actually useful there. Boston is changing and we need to keep up.
