The promotora model and the promotoras of Revision are the driving force of dignity, change, and uplifting the community. To have their expertise, dedication and hard work undermined isn’t just mistreatment, it goes against everything ReVision stands for. Something has to change.

I live in Athmar park and love the work that Re:Vision has done for our community, but I am shocked and angered that the staff have been treated this way and that the values have been eroded. It’s completely unacceptable to repeat systems of harm on the community grassroots level. The board has a responsibility to the community to do better.

This is very disappointing to hear the executive director is causing harm to our community. This concerning to know that she is running for Denver Public school board. Sending love to Mayra and everyone else who she caused harm to.

Good day, I have made aware of the challenges our community is facing. I have red all the incidents documented in the website created by the Promotoras de Westwood, Re:Vision and listen to Mayra's experience. After reviewing their request, I am in full support of their efforts and would like to see their request being met. As a social advocate, Indigenous activist, and clinical counselor, I understand the need to address the power dynamics and the systemic abuse that comes from marginalizing the voices of those who have less power and privilege within an organization. It is imperative that organizations and those in power create venues that foster community repair and connection. This allows for personal, professional and organizational growth and ensures harm reduction for future internal challenges within the organization. I trust that the board of directors will take this opportunity to welcome the healing that is requested by the promotoras efforts and the community Westwood community. It is important to consider that it takes a tremendous effort for people who hold marginalized identities within the system to voice their concerns and challenge the powers at play. Therefore, I would like to request that this efforts are not further invalidated and a healthy approach is taken as soon as possible to minimize further harm in the community. Many Thanks,

I support the Promotoras, Westwood Community and Mayra's ask for an external investigation and to be supported in all the ways they ask and need. The actions of the ED primarily and some board members have been harmful over a period of time and need to be adressed and repaired. Often times, when these fractures and abuses of power are perpetuated, especially towards people more marginialized, the fractures and the harm/ pain and organizational issues persist, even in other spaces by the people who caused harm because they were not called into accountability/ repair. This is beneficial for no one, not your organization, not community and not your mission. I have been thru similar experiencasdand fractures, abuses of power that were not tended to/ shoved under the rug and it never worked our. The orgs kept repeating cycles of harm. As a community led and serving organization, it is vital you support what rhe comminity needs for repair. Otherwise, youe organization will continue repeating these patterns. Westwood is a cultural hub of ancestral wealth and wisdom and I expect your commitment to not perpetuate the harm of our oppressors, even if they come from within your ranks.

I'm extremely disappointed to hear the treatment of promotoras that I know and trust. People should feel safe in their workplace

I have been apart of the revision community for over 5 years. I am shocked and very saddened. I am impressed that promotadoras have never brought this negativity to our homes and came as always with their whole hearts. They fill our homes and communities with love, wisdom, and food! They all deserve the love the give our community.

Mayra is a great community leader. Her and the other promotoras concerns need to be taken seriously. It breaks my heart that they are treated this way. My gardening skills have grown so much thanks to them.
