I am floored by the bravery and courage of the promotoras - especially in these times. If the board and the ED are the people they claim to be they will set aside their egos and be accountable to these incredible women who make Re:Vision and the Westwood community what it is. To the Board and the ED I say: the community is watching. I fully and wholeheartedly have and will continue to support the Promotoras. ¡Mi corazón está con ustedes!

Everyone deserves equal and fair pay.

It is extremely disheartening to find out about the things occurring at this establishment that is supposed to help our community, but is in term harming it. Individuals who chose to run organizations in this manner have no place in our community. Hold those individuals accountable and make this a safe work environment!!

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. I’ve heard from several people at her previous job that similar complaints were made. This makes me believe there is a pattern of behavior.

If the board has nothing to hide why not hear what Mayra or other employees have to say? There seems to be some serious issues of abuse and mismanagement in some of this nonprofits, they need to be held accountable, this are our taxpayers money!

As a community partner it is deeply important that the people I work with feel safe and protected in community especially during the horrific political climate we are currently living under. The promotora model has always had great potential as they are the ones on the ground who hold the community connections and thus the strength of our movements and revolutions. It is incredibly sickening to hear that these women who give their lives to serve communities are being abused and extracted from. It's time to stop hiding behind the bureaucracies of the nonprofit system to inflict harm on community members who are already the targets of this violent system. It's time to hold so called "leaders" accountable for the harm and venom that they inflict on the very community they claim to be fighting for. This is incredibly unacceptable. I feel disappointed to have worked with Re: Vision without knowing what was going on behind the scenes. I applaud the promotoras for showing up with smiles on their faces and willingness to serve but they should not have to do so. I call into question the genuineness of conversations I had with leadership that centered a love and care for community. Justicia Ahora!

It’s unfortunate that this has been allowed to continue. NO ONE should have to work under these conditions. Experiences like these will be carried for a lifetime. This person should not have this kind of power in what is a community that already faces challenges.

Time to open up your eyes and pay attention to what’s happening here.

I am signing this petition in support of the promotoras who have bravely spoken up about unfair workplace treatment at Re:Vision. As community leaders and frontline advocates, promotoras deserve a safe, respectful, and equitable work environment where their voices are valued. I urge for a transparent and thorough investigation into the current leadership to ensure accountability and to uphold the integrity of the organization’s mission. The work Re:Vision does in our community is too important to be undermined by harmful practices.
