Students should be rewarded with a dress code of their choice just for showing up ! Encourage the youth don't discourage the youth.

It's not right that the students have to follow a dress code when the principal wears dresses to wear you see her underwear & also showing her cleavage but students can't wear skinny pants . It's like the students are being made a "private school" and they aren't even this bad .

They started the dress code when I was still in high school. We all walked out. The dress code was supposed to prevent kids from being bullied. But it doesn't work. The school has more problems now than it did when I was there. They should be able to wear tee shirts and jeans. Its getting ridiculous. I am almost tempted to move to Ga so I don't have to deal with it anymore. They need to be concentrating on all the drugs and weapons that are coming in there and not the kids clothes.

Not sure why of dress code anyway. Only few schools in Chattanooga area have them and ER is the most stringent. Let our kids be kids.

I think this is very wrong and if the school was so concerned with dress code then why inform students so late? There's nothing wrong with the old dress code. Unless the old dress code is causing problems or any sort of issue up to the point of putting a students life in danger, I don't see why the dress code needs to change.

Totally disagree with dress code. Leave the kids alone and let them be themselves!!! And no belts. As long as they are not showing parts of their bodies that are suppose to be covered leave them alone and let them learn what they are needing to in school

They shouldn't take away the sweaters. Because the teachers don't follow the rules either. So let the kids wear sweaters.

I don't understand why singling Freshmen out sounded like a good idea to a whole board of people!

The fact that dress code is more of a distraction then anything else in the schools distract should prove that a change needs to be made.
