As a mom of an ERE child, I am grateful the dress code was changed to allow children to wear regular clothes. The principal of ERE explained that they "listened to the kids" and basically learned that over all uniforms are more distracting than regular clothes. As a parent, it gets expensive trying to buy uniform clothes before school and its also incredibly stressful the day before school trying to get clothes washed. And another annoying thing is once your uniform clothes get damaged, you either have to deal with your child going to school looking like a hot mess with holes in their pants and shirts or you got to scrape pennies together to replace them.

Bullying in the making. The dress code was established to not single kids out and that is exactly what the revision has done with the freshman.

I contacted the principal via email and asked what the dress code was going to be and she has not responded. The website was just updated with the dress code information. That means we have less than 2 weeks to shop for uniforms. With the students only allowed to wear certain colors it is hard to find both the right color and size in this amount of time. We should have been informed us of this at the end of last year like the other schools in the area.

Why do you want to display the freshmen? You already discourage every student from even attending school.

This is really stupid I mean why do you want to single out the freshman if we are going to have a dress code then the teachers & PRINCIPLE needs to go by it to because our principle dresses like she is at the strip club just saying . If we can't wear what we want and what we are comfortable in then neither can they?! I mean come on i mean trust me we are in east ridge we ain't about to go impress anyone . Because of school is TRASH ✋

Agreed. It is too late in the year to make such changes. At this time our budgets do not permit for a whole new wardrobe to start school.....if this information was known prior to the end of last year why was a notice not sent to the parents?
