I’m a third-year science student from Massey university, who’s major in human nutrition. I came from China. My hometown is Xi’an. I already have studied in New Zealand for three and half year. I started my 13 year high school studying at Auckland. This year, I fled back to China for celebrating Chinese New Year with my family and my friends during my summer vacation. None of us knew there’s a virus spread out in China at beginning and it caused many death. It’s true that everyone suffered from this bad outbreak. Everyone has affected by this situation. But luckily, our overseas students haven’t infected by NCP. Chinese government has inverted to this corona virus outbreak and the recovery rate of NCP patient is increasing within people who have strongly coped the battle of epidemic prevention and control. Every Chinese people are fighting the virus with their love and care. It could be tell from lots of donation and charity of medical supplies to Wuhan city. And other provinces have acted to this epidemic situation with their actions of isolation and control. Hopefully within couple weeks after, this disease could be controlled and patient could be treated and cured. And as a students and as a Chinese people, i sincerely hope everything will be better soon and New Zealand government could give China unquestioning trust and help, so that China could overcome this epidemic situation as soon as possible. I’ve been noticed that several university are going to provide us distance learning courses for students who are not able to attend the classes in New Zealand. However, the courses like science, engineering, medical, the students are required to have their laboratory classes and exams. If we are going to study in China, we’re unable to do those weekly things for our normal performance. Moreover, our students could return back to New Zealand and start our new semester in time.

I hold a work visa and I really want to be back to work. Before I go back to work, I will definitely stay at home for 14 days. Please let me go back to New Zealand.

We really value and appreciate the opportunity to study in New Zealand. However because of this travel ban my study plans are all messed up, my visa is about to expire and my family and I cannot even sleep well.. Also it is really not fair that we still have to pay the same amount of money to keep our degrees there.. So NZ government, please please help us, we are fine with the self-isolation but please don't reject us from coming back to NZ because we really want to go back to school..

Plz count the number of people affected and formulate relevant policies as soon as possible.We need an explanation. Try to put yourself in others' shoes instead of solving the problem in a discriminatory way.
