Review of Babana IEP Rejection
Babana’s vision is to be recognised nationally and internationally as a leader in achieving a difference for the Aboriginal communities within Sydney and Australia.
Our organisation has been highly successful in providing high level support for the most disadvantaged Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members to gain ongoing sustainable employment.
With the change of government a review led by Twiggy Forrest and Warren Mundine has resulted in our organisation being rejected in our plans for funding to assist in employment.
If a successful grass roots organisation like ours is removed from assisting our community it may then result in the non-continuation of our organisation which will have a very negative impact on Redfern and the Greater Sydney Community
Our organisation puts back into the community as a result of the Indigenous Employment Program.
Support us in our petition to have Senator Scullion from the Coalition Government review the rejection of Babana’s IEP application by Byron Mathews from the Indigenous Affairs Group.
