The bureaucrats finally backed down and Bouton is staying right where she belongs. It took a massive amount of pressure to force these clowns to drop this ridiculous deportation order. Stay vigilant because we are not letting them pull this kind of nonsense again.

Bouton is beloved Scarlet Macaw at the Montreal Biodome. She was a very friendly and popular with tourists. Unfortunately, Quebec language authorities will deport her next Friday July 19 because she was speaking too much English during a routine language inspection. This is an injustice.

By signing this petition, you are demanding that the language police rescind the order to deport the parrot to Toronto Zoo and keep her in the Montreal Biodome.

The language police clearly misjudged how much this city loves Bouton. This groundswell of support proves that people are finished with their absurd obsession with punishing a parrot for simply existing.

Pourquoi ne pas avoir Bouton et Marie-Ève? Marie-Ève va peut-être lui montrer à parler français! Ou, Bouton parle anglais pour les invites anglophones et Marie-Ève parle le français aux francophones, tout le monde est content!

My family and I visit the Biodome every single year, sometimes twice. We love the tropical exhibit and the aquariun. No more!!!! If this is not corrected then as far as I'm concerned this is the final straw, I will no longer patronize any establishment in the province of Quebec.

Although I am improving my francais as i work on it. Currently - I am sure that Bouton would be able to learn as well. They are very bright animals. Give the beautiful bird a chance to grow in its knowledge of French as I am now doing. It is difficult, but quite possible. D.N.R. Shaw

This is so ridiculous!!! It's a bird!! Even birds aren't protected from the Language police!!! Could be devastating for the bird if shipped away. Huge change in environment! It's disgusting! Very shameful. Quebec is a big bully!

WOW. This is sad. I can't believe this is actually being done. To enforce French on humans is plenty but now on animals too!!! Get real this is ridiculous. Leave the bird where he is use too. Why are they not concerned about what the transition can do to the bird???

Ridiculous oqlf. These ppl are brainless discriminating clowns. And if the parrot is moved, well then good for it. At least she will be surrounded by loving people in Toronto.

L'exile n'est pas une solution pour les gens qui parle anglais.
