The Vice Chancellor has announced that the University of Surrey will be charging students the maximum £9,000 for tuition fees. We, the undersigned, believe that the government needs to rethink its policy on fees and rethink its policy on teaching budgets as they will put thousands of students off of coming to Surrey and other Universities in the future.

9 grand is absolutely mental. how are we meant to afford this plus living costs? they are just charging us for empty lecture halls at this rate.
