The city’s method of designating shelters should be reviewed so that we don’t have a concentration of support facilities in one area. The number 1 criteria should be absolutely no where near schools, daycare centers and I would also add seniors.

Wrong approach, wrong place. Mt family’s safety will always be more important to me than anything else. I’m not going to hide under the guise of compassion for the homeless above my family’s wellbeing, unlike others. True compassion would be in the form of a semi-permanent care/rehabilitation facility with trained medical and psychological professionals, not a transient/temporary shelter.

Why not put shelters in old industrial building not being used. Running water, electrical, plumbing is all there and usually near a bus route. Don’t put near schools or children/teens or parks . A disaster waiting to happen
