Not in favour my senior mother lives on third there is already affordable housing designated in the area. Unless they designate this shelter for families it doesn’t work for the neighborhood I’d like to see the crime rate percentage increase with shelters

It is past time , that taxpaying citizens deserve basic rights of public safety in transit, parks, playgrounds and neighbourhoods. The homeless candidates need to vetted for criminality, addiction, and mental health - for the good of public safety, City Bureaucrats should NOT be making these decisions without critical thinking on collateral costs - they do not have the credentials .

It’s time these councillors started listening to the people. It seems they are all (exception of maybe 5) are implementing & doing whatever they want to do thus the people not having a say in anything. If they want all these shelters, start putting them in their own neighborhoods.

I strongly disagree with having a shelter with harm reduction and mental health at this location, which is near schools, childcares, and a senior house. Keep our neighborhood safe and clean.

Who will be living in these shelters? Are the people vetted (criminal background checks )? If they are criminals or addicted people dont they represent a danger to any community?

I have a shelter like this next to where I work. There is nothing but problems with drugs, stealing,drinking, litter, destruction of property and homeless encampments in the area and the nearby parks. We do not need one in this location.

The shelter will turn the neighborhood into a dangerous dump. Unstable drug addicts are going to wreak havoc. The children & seniors in the neighborhood do not need an influx of used needles and fecal matter strewn all over the place.

Zoning and by-laws should align with the need to protect people's physical and mental heath. Children's safety should not be sacrificed at any expense.
