Rethink Shelter Locations

This is the wrong location for a shelter. It should have never been an option. The lot is much smaller than the minimum size guidelines made by Toronto Shelter and Support Services. There are much better locations to place this shelter that won’t be such a burden on communities.

I strongly oppose building a temporary shelter in the location (66 Third street) identified by the city of Toronto. Not only will this location due to its insufficient size not offer the necessary protection and services required by the temporary residents but it also will put the children and seniors who will be in close proximity to this shelter at a safety risk. It is irresponsible of the city of Toronto and demonstrates to that city of Toronto cares very little of the residents of New Toronto.

More studies needed, this neighborhood feels like it’s doing it’s part already

Stop this insanity in residental neighbourhoods..

This could cause 'unsafe' injection sites in our parks and near schools.. please respect children and elderly safety and not try to stuff 80 people into a residential area that's so close to 2 schools and daycares.

Isn't it too close to the school on 7th? Also, this area is already serviced. Should be in other parts of city where there is need rather than creating more than needed in an area.

I live in Woods Manor and we already have security issues in the building. From my of experience staying in a shelter and what happens in the surrounding community i am positive it will only add to our security issues.

Site too small to house 80 adults site size does not meet the City Shelter size requirements or standards, Too close to Seniors residents Woods Manor complex apt building and residential home.

The cities radical progressive policies are ruining this city. Addicts should be getting treatment - not be enabled by the harm reduction services that will be placed in each of these shelters. Shame on you city of Toronto for not protecting seniors and children with your crazy ideologies l.

The voices of the people living in the neighbourhood need to be respected.

I support the cause of helping the homeless but not in this residential neighbourhood with so many children and so close to a school.
