For a long period of time the gymnasium floors at the Denver JCC have not been properly maintained. In recent weeks there has clearly been little or no effort to clean or maintain the floors at all. This has resulted in an environment in which members cannot enjoy the use of the gym due to its slippery condition, as well as it has posed a significant safety hazard to those who use gym. Despite numerous complaints by various members, the problem remains unresolved. The membership fees at the JCC are on par with those of many of the exclusive membership health clubs in town, yet the service and maintenance of the facility continues to be well below the average. We ask that, at a minimum, the JCC administration should provide a safe and enjoyable facility for its members to use. In the immediate instance, we ask that the gym floors be properly cleaned and maintained before someone gets injured. Please respect the members! They deserve it.
