The US flag stands for everything we are in this country. It was built on the fundamentals of hard work, loyalty, and respect for one another. With recent events, many have taken to damaging or burning of the flag in protest, thinking its a guarantee that they can hide behind the ruling of Texas vs. Johnson, where it was ruled that burning the flag is a symbol of free speech. This is not a form of freedom of speech, this is an act of desecration and disrespect to our country. Blood, sweat and tears have been spilled over this symbolic flag and it should be a crime to do anything to it other than let if fly free and respect it for what it means. This petition, with your signature, will be sent to congress to overthrow the ruling of Texas vs. Johnson case and make a legal law stating punishment for any intentional damage to it. We owe it to our forefathers, our military, and ourselves.

Free speech should have limits when it comes to trashing our nation. Put them in jail.

If you dont love this country u can leave. My son served 2 tours and seeing them burn the flag makes my blood boil
amen. way to many people taking advantage of the system nowadays. flag burning should be a felony period.

Disgusting to watch people disrespect the flag like that. Think about the vets who died for that fabric. It needs to be illegal.
