We live in an area where the only way out (barring airplanes) is HWY 105...THAT ALONE should make this road a Class 1 HWY and I believe that as taxpayers we should be afforded the same attention to safe travel as the people in Southern Ontario receive. Thanks for the opportunity to express my opinion.

I live in the country and have been on these roads for 32 years. Things need to change, these roads are not safe!

Worst conditions I have driven on in the 16 years I have been driving on these roads.

Our roads are the worst i remember in years. Do we have to wait for someone to get killed before something happens about the poor road maintenance?

I believe our current standards of road maintenance is an accident waiting to happen.

Great point Kevin! The roads are why we are moving from Chukuni River to Red Lake. I will not continue to put my son and my life in danger driving to work each and every day in the winter.

I'm not sure why after you sign the petition that I should up as Toronto instead of Red Lake?

it is sad how drastic the quality of our road mantenance has changed in the past few years. The men who worked for the MTO took pride in our roads, and took our saftey to heart.

The last couple of years have been horrible! Road maintenence in our region is at al all time low! When there is NO SNOW in many areas of S.Ont. the perspective is completely lost, & by travelling her now to see the actual real time conditions won't happen. They call in the military when Toronto gets a few flakes! I think it's our turn!

I am going to be nice. The conditions of the roads have been far below acceptable, I have seen far too many vehicles in the ditch and winter is just beginning. What can we expect when we actually have a storm or there is an emergency within the community and we have poor to hazardous road conditions? Please keep our roadways open and safe, if and when a death occurs, it’s too late. Should have done a better job, Could have done a better job, didn’t do a good is all you will hear. If there are any injuries or deaths because of the poor road conditions how would you feel, wouldn’t you like to see your family safe, especially now the holiday season is here? Merry Christmas and more plowing, salting and sanding in the New Year...PLEASE!!! Thank you

I again am 100% behind Steven Smith and this group!! It is terrible that we in the Northwest are always put on the back burner by the Government. We need to all stick together, make a stand together and have the conditions of our highways in the winter months changed for the sake of all those who have to travel on them! Hard enough to try to drive in theses unsalted, unsanded, unplowed roads daily!! With the slippery condfitions and the wildlife we have to dodge on a daily basis lets hope that our voices and protests are heard before a tragedy happens!!

Roads are wore than in the past for sure ..maybe need to be traveled by out member of parliament ?

My husband and our 5 kids travel the roads daily for school work doctors appointments hockey, high school, high school sports, groceries, we are not safe on the roads, I can't even drive my van we can't even get out of our community! We have approx 150 people, adults, elders, children, youth, if we ever needed an ambulance or police we would never get one out here! We need this to stop, we our First Nation people, we are not lower class, we need our roads done we need to be safe, we need to know our children are safe driving to school to better themselves, a trip to red lake or Dryden or ear falls for groceries are our only means of living, we don't have stores here, we need pellets for our heat. This needs to stop, I want to be at the rally however because of the roads being so bad I am not sure if my 2013 van will get out, and we can't carry all five kids in our truck!! Lived in Wabauskang for 20 years now and never seen as much neglect to our roads and our community!

We live in NW Ont and we are accustomed driving on winter road conditions. The current highway conditions are deplorable and by no means acceptable. They have hit a new low on the standards that have been set by MTO.

I was taking a trip down highway 105 one that would normally take me 1 hour took over an hour and a half. I was going 50 km and tried to slow down because of a car in the ditch but the back end of my 4x4 took off. Scary the sides of the road were not plowed so you could not pull over any where. The highway was not sanded you did not know where the middle line was or the edge of the road. I had no choice but to go on the highway this day as I had an emergency dental appointment. Or I would have turned around and went home
