Parking alone for this will be a nightmare, even if they add underground parking I can't see all of the residents paying for it.

This building design is too tall and too dense for this area. This neighborhood is comprised of mostly 2 story homes and the traffic and congestion it will cause will be a nightmare for the current residents.

This is exploitative to our neighborhood enough already

The project as proposed will create an undue hardship on the affected neighbors, by robbing light, and air, in violation of the Philadelphia code; title 14, zoning code. If approved the city will be willfully misapplying the law, or erring. I hope the petitioners, recontact all signers of this petition, and gather everyone’s addresses too. You may then plot out the addresses, on google maps, to enter as evidence, in a the appeal. This will have CONSIDERABLY more weight in the eyes of the court, then mere signatures, for those of us willing to submit our addresses to you. I hope we are successful at stopping these crooks.

I am a resident of the neighborhood and live on the 26xx block of Cedar. There is absolutely no desire to have a fresh fruit market as ground-level retail at, or near this location. The height and design of the building does not complement the neighborhood.

This was a bait and switch deal on the community by the developer. None of us would consent to this 7-story box, with retail space on the bottom that does nothing to enhance an already well-resourced neighborhood. No design consideration has been given to waste management, traffic patterns, congestion, noise, loss of sunlight for local gardens and greening. Adding residents in 150 units will overwhelm the neighborhood.

I am a resident of the neighborhood and this proposed project is a block from my home. My wife and I strongly oppose this project, personally, professionally and in complete solidarity with our neighbors. Please reconsider the design and the site altogether, this will be deeply insulting to the community if built as presented.

They did the same at Huntingdon & Trenton and Huntingdon & Amber. Built apartments & commercial property with no additional parking. Parking has become terrible especially for residents that have lived there for years.

A seven story building in our 2-3 floor row-home neighborhood is unacceptable. The grocery space at the new apartment building on Amber and Huntington is still empty, the "fresh fruit market" is an excuse for additional height without securing a lease before building it. We have Riverwards in the neighborhood, and IGA a 10 minute walk away. We do not need a market. Houses on the street of the project will lose their access to sunlight. This is a very residential area. There are children who play in the street on Hazzard Street - a loading zone or driveway will create danger for the families in our neighborhood. We don't have amazing parking as it is now, with a giant 150+ apartment complex with only 45 parking spaces will destroy parking in our neighborhood.

First, from what I understand your argument for only supplying 48 parking spaces for 160 units is that most of the residence will be using public transportation. What sort of evidence can you provide that supports your claim that less than one third of the units will have occupants that will need parking, and that only one car will be required for each of those units that require parking? Second, If indeed as I’m sure most of the people who are residence of this neighborhood suspect many more of the residence of your building will require parking than you estimate, there are cascading effects for increased street parking. These include increased time looking for parking which costs residents time in their cars, miles on their cars, and fuel cost. The increased time spent by motorists finding parking spaces increases traffic congestion. For families like mine who have young children there are legitimate concerns about additional traffic increasing danger to our children and decreasing the air quality in our neighborhood. So my question is, why do you believe that it is not your responsibility to address an issue that your profit making endeavor will create, and why do you believe that the residence of this neighborhood should subsidies your venture with our time lost, wear on our cars, increased fuel cost, increased danger to our children, and decreased air quality.
