The developers finally pulled the plug on the Huntington project. Seeing our neighborhood stay the way we love it makes every single hour of this fight worth the effort. Keep watching the corner because we will be ready to act again if they ever try to bring this back.

Final supporters
We the people, residents of 19125 are completely against the construction of High rises and commercial building on Huntington and cedar. We are prepared to fight to stop such construction from greedy developers, realtors and the city officials approving such nuisance building. The building is too tall, blocks adequate sun light, would be an eye soar. As well as, commercial/stores are not welcome on this street! Such construction would be a heavy burden on residents. Parking is not adequate for commerce and over 100 apartments are too crammed in this one corner. ORCA officials new about this project, as well as the "GALVO". We are not affiliated with ORCA, we are simply concerned residents. Councilman Squilla and State Rep Hoenstein have the power to help! Contact them and demand they help or VOTE THEM OUT!

We are approaching the two hundred fifty signature mark and this momentum is exactly what we need to force Councilman Squilla to listen. Please send the link to your neighbors right now because we need to hit this goal before our next meeting with the city. That corner is my home and I refuse to watch the developers ruin it for profit.

Seeing one hundred people sign this shows I am not the only one worried about losing our sunlight to these developers. It means everything to have neighbors backing this fight to protect our streets from being ruined.

I am a resident of the neighborhood and this proposed project is a block from my home. My wife and I strongly oppose this project, personally, professionally and in complete solidarity with our neighbors. Please reconsider the design and the site altogether, this will be deeply insulting to the community if built as presented.
They did the same at Huntingdon & Trenton and Huntingdon & Amber. Built apartments & commercial property with no additional parking. Parking has become terrible especially for residents that have lived there for years.
This is a complete failure to acknowledge the fabric of this neighborhood. If we allow this, we are one step closer to becoming what NoLibs has, a collection of ugly behemoths stacked on top of each other, with no original design, and no respect for what fits into the neighborhood.
Definitely NO!!! As a senior resident, I am paying real estate taxes for all these people who are receiving abatements. A building of this size does not belong on a street in a residential neighborhood. Have them build in a place where this is feasible, not a residential neighborhood!!!
There will be no parking. PPA will be in full effect. The street level retail "loading" zones will take up all the parking not to mention deliveries clogging up the streets. The fresh food grocery is a BS thing they always throw in and they never happen
Parking alone for this will be a nightmare, even if they add underground parking I can't see all of the residents paying for it.

I am a resident of the neighborhood and live on the 26xx block of Cedar. There is absolutely no desire to have a fresh fruit market as ground-level retail at, or near this location. The height and design of the building does not complement the neighborhood.
