On January 7, the University of Maryland and University System of Maryland announced new mandates requiring university students, faculty, and staff to get a COVID-19 booster shot within two weeks.
We are a group of concerned students and community members who believe these new rules to be misguided, and urge the University and University System to reconsider. The danger from Omicron is real, and the University does need to take action. But the evidence overwhelmingly demonstrates that a booster mandate is not the right action.

This is ridiculous. We already did the two shots like they told us to. When does it actually stop?
Enough with the mandates. My body my choice right? Guess that only applies when it fits the university agenda.
im sick of these forced policies being pushed on us with like two weeks notice. total overreach by the admin.
