- Concordia University Wisconsin students are capable of critically thinking to make educated and informed personal decisions without university input. Students, faculty, and visitors should have the freedom to choose what they put on their face. Students are by and large against this mandate and had absolutely no vote in the matter. Our voices deserve to be heard. Please make your concerns known to the Office of Student Life and the Concordia University Wisconsin Administration.

CUW professes to be Lutheran and proclaims it’s students to live uncommon. Young adults should be able to make their own decisions to mask. Those individuals who are afraid of SARS-19 can mask or attend online. Many of the students have either had covid or been vaccinated but regardless mandatory masking is not based on faith but in fear. God guards the lives of the faithful ones.
If I’m capable enough to pay 40k in tuition a year, I am capable enough to decide if I need to wear a mask or not, especially without a mandate in place for our area.
It’s dangerous to partake in using CUW students as a political pawn in a debate that is nonsensical and not supported by science. Studies supporting the use of masks have been unable to determine their effectiveness in preventing infection. We cannot teach our young people to be driven by fear and political theater. We owe our children better!
If I am vaccinated why do I need a mask this mandate is basically saying doesn’t matter if I have it or not.
With online classes readily available there’s no reason for a mask mandate. If you’re that concerned you can take virtual/remote classes.
We are Americans and have freedom to choose!!

I am a parent of a college student at Concordia. We can decide what is best for our young adult/student. Stop restricting their capability of getting fresh air.
