Due to the coronavirus crisis, many students of the RENE 2019 Intake had to go to their home countries, some crossing continents, and now living in extremely different time-zones. It is uncertain that normal flight travel conditions will return in July, allowing students to go back for ESADE module 3.

The situation is expected to get better by the following months, so with this petition, the RENE students would like to ask that ESADE Module 3 be held entirely in presence at a later date, even if it means doing a shorter program.

Even though ESADE is adapting to make remote learning possible to those far away, students feel like not being present will deprive them of one of Innoenergy's core values.

The time in ESADE is for the students one of the most valuable moments of the RENE masters when all students gather to share ideas, learn, and develop them together. Face-to-face learning is especially crucial in module 3 when the groups will do their final iterations for the NVCP project, which for many, will become their first start-up.

Keeping in mind that the entrepreneurial spirit is core to Innoenergy programs, separating the students can jeopardize the successful implementation of these businesses, and therefore undermine the fundamental values that drive this program and the student's motivation.

This exceptional situation demands a higher effort and demand for everyone. We, the students, compromise in giving our best and making adaptions to be present in Barcelona for a new Module 3 date. We ask the RENE board to consider the possibility of postponing this event to date within the next semester when all students will be able to join in presence.
