They finally said yes to using the St Wilfrid site and I honestly cannot believe it really happened after all the back and forth. My head is spinning a bit but it means the school actually has a home now and I am just so relieved that we can finally …
We the undersigned appeal to you to reconsider your decision and allow The Hawthorne’s Free School use of the current St. Wilfrid’s site at Orrell Road, Litherland, Merseyside, L21 8NU. This is the preferred site due to its location, accessibility and facilities suited to our needs, including increased and somewhat unparalleled outdoor areas. In addition it would be of great benefit to our local community.
I can see the count ticking up toward two hundred and fifty which is actually wild considering this all started as just a thought in my head. People at the archdiocese are definitely starting to notice us now but we need to put a little extra pressure on them while the momentum is actually here. Grab your phone and send this to just one other person who cares about what happens to the St Wilfrid site because the more visibility we have when the decision makers look at their inbox the better for all of us.

Community spaces should be used for the community. The diocese needs to get their act together and help the kids out.
