I have not heard good things about Rick Thompson so I'm glad somebody's doing something about it I don't have a kid in school yet but I will soon and it matters to me who's going to be my kids supervisor

Wow, this is still going on? Gather some people, have a town march and hold signs... go door to door and get those signatures! We need people to pay attention and act, stick up for our children and their teachers and families! The community needs to be woke up by action! You have your proof— With years of abuse, this is going to take a brave bunch of people to get serious enough to dissolve this bully, and nothing in the world is as beautiful to a child is when they learn how to stand up to a bully and seeing to it be resolved. You all can do this

I do not stand by the decisions being made and dissagree with direction this district and school is being ran. This is not the CSD I grew up with

I know so many kids who go to Chimacum and if the superintendent is not doing his job to protect the kids in our community then he must go.

I am in the process of transferring my daughter to PT School District right now. The dynamics of the administration and lack of academic performance at Chimacum MS are a sad state. With an ineffective leadership and a lack of competent teachers, if something were to change in this district I wouldn't hesitate to bring my daughter back.

He needs to resign. Appalling "leadership".

Brian McKenzie needs to resign as well. His behavior is towards students and parents is a major part of people seeking other school options for their children.

No follow through what so ever on bullying or anything he promises parents will be taken care of. Rick just makes you feel like he is listening and doing something about it when in fact nothing is being done....

My son has been blessed to have Ms. Enlow as his principal and the thought of her not being at the school makes me concerned and moreover concerned at the manner in which the superintendent has handled himself in this situation. It’s appauling really!

Our Children and teachers deserve so much better. Demand change before we lose the amazing teachers we have. His dictator and bulling behavior needs to go- we have no room for this at Chimacum.

As a former teacher at Chimacum under Rick's leadership, I can vouch for the fact that he does not support teachers. It is the reason I left employment there.

Rick was a poor hire choice from the beginning and since then he and the board have played pass the buck. Someone has to be held responsible for the poor staffing choices that have lead to so many angry community members. I encourage all of you to seek records requests for the Key Communicators meetings so that you can see how far back Rick was made aware of community concerns. Seek out the parent group and speak with the members there. Find Chimacum News on Facebook and read through past posts and community comments. Ask the parents who have pulled their kids from the main campus and moved them to pi, homeschool, running start, other districts etc why they made that choice and if Rick was a part of it. But you also have to hold the board accountable as well. And each everyone member that has been in support of Rick’s poor decision making has to be replaced as well. This is the time that either you stand firm and demand change or you simply accept it. I watched as the high school principal treated girls as second class citizens. I won my battle with him. Not because he realized his mistakes. Not because Rick was appalled at MacKenzie’s behavior but because ultimately the law was on my side and I was willing to fight the fight. However that didn’t stop the intimidation and bullying from him and Thompson allowed it to go on. I will never forgive them for the chain of events that their leadership choices set in motion. The long term damage that they have caused some of these kids is irreparable. Tomorrow is a great day for people to start reaching out about replacing the board members and removing Rick from leadership. Either you are prepared to be a part of the solution or you have decided to be complacent with marginalism in your school, with your taxes and most importantly with the children of CSD49

I graduated from Chimacum . I can not fathom something hasn't been done before this . The conversations I've been a part of or witnessed concerning Chimacum School District & the administraton ( Rick Thompson) are not positive . Rather jaw dropping to be honest . If I had children , I would absolutely NOT send them to Chimacum !
