Broxhill Road is becoming increasingly more dangerous for the riders of the local area to use to move around the local area. Although a network of bridlepaths are available for the local riders to move between these riding along Broxhill Road is required. The 30mph speed limit may have been extended to pass Bedfords Park however this has not stopped irresponsible drivers still passing the horses too fast and too close. This teamed with the surroundings including a large, deep ditch close alongside the road, narrow pavement and the sharp bends reducing visibility makes the whole situation dangerous and scary for all horse riders. Most will refuse to ride along here alone, resulting to riding in groups or with a pedestrian for assistance. No amount of reflective and high visibility clothing seems to suggest to the drivers that horses should be passed slow and wide.

There are 6 large livery yards in the local area as well as multiple smaller yards. Meaning there are in excess of 150 horses that use the local bridleways. The bridleway which runs from Orange Tree Hill to Bedfords Park is barely used as it leads to the dangerous Broxhill Road. A bridleway along Broxhill Road would allow further safe use of this bridleway.
