We, the undersigned, call upon the Governors and the Headmistress of the Vineyard School, to grant the parents an open evening during the week after half term, so that the proposed works to the school and their funding can be reviewed during one meeting for the purposes of transparency.
I HAVE BEEN SPENDING MY TIME SENDING EMAILS TO THE HEADMISTRESS AND DEMANDING THAT THE SCHOOL BOARD FINALLY ACKNOWLEDGES OUR REQUEST!! THE SILENCE FROM THEIR OFFICE IS LOUD BUT WE ARE ONLY GETTING LOUDER BY STAYING STEADFAST IN OUR DEMAND FOR TOTAL CLARITY!!

THE MOMENTUM BEHIND THIS REQUEST IS TRULY INCREDIBLE!! PEOPLE ARE FINALLY PAYING ATTENTION TO OUR DEMAND FOR TOTAL CLARITY!!

RY and Y1 and Y2 children are so much safer playing in the area they are in now that is flat with no steps. Imagine by how much the number of accidents will increase with all the steps and sloped paths an their way from the suggested new classrooms to the play area suggested in the new plan. I absolutely agree with other comments that number of staff supervising children would be a priority instead.

I think an open meeting accessible to all would enable a greater understanding of the proposed changes and quash some of the rumours that are inevitably circulating. Both the school and parents need to continue to work TOGETHER and be understanding and supportive of each other especially during difficult times. I am a Y6 parent and this has always been my experience at the Vineyard.

The school had a major building works just 3/4 years ago which had its own affection on our children at that time. Is it really nessessary to go through another building works ?

The school has only very recently been through re-development, so we need to understand what is inadequate about the completed work, how it impacts upon our children’s safety, well being and education, and be clear on how the proposed changes would benefit our children. If PTA money is to be relied on the parent body as a whole should be given a voice. As funding becomes tighter we are more concerned with the quality and number of teaching staff.

It would be good to see a full impact assessment in addition to the bullet pointed anticipated benefits.

I would like an open meeting to be able to hear and respond to the concerns/support of all parents, teachers and governors. From talking to others who attended different workshops it is clear that slightly differing information is being offered at each session and the written information differed again.

Supporting the PTA with this matter. Would welcome more transparency and better communication with the wider parents' body.
