We, the undersigned residents of Liberty, NY, respectfully petition youto vote in favor of the proposed local law "2017 Town of Liberty Temporary SummerCamp Land Use Moratorium."
The Town Board is currently reviewing our formal request regarding the land use moratorium. I am continuing to communicate with local representatives to ensure that our concerns remain a priority during their deliberations.
April 11, 2017
The level of public engagement regarding the proposed land use moratorium has grown significantly. This momentum demonstrates the depth of concern residents hold for the future of our town. I will present these signatures to the board members to ensure they recognize the gravity of our request.

Someone said saturation point, true. But there is also all the failed and abandoned camps that litter the area, all year.

There has clearly been a saturation point reached. One only need live with the challenges of the influx of summer folk and the high taxes compounded by properties off of the tax roll to realize that an increase in summer camps is not the way to create a liveable and sustainable environment in our area.

It is time that the Town review and update its zoning with regard to summer camps. The existing regulations are out of date.

Just to be clear, this petition is not specifically about tax paying or non tax paying entities. It's about taking a look at the zoning for all summer camps.
