Withholding report serves no purpose. The children do not deserve to have their reports cards taken away.

Kids deserve to have something to celebrate knowing how well they did.

Take the time to enter marks. The children don't deserve to be punished.

I understand what the teachers are fighting for, but my child is not a pawn. Report cards are a very sentimental thing and my sons first school year experience should not be this!

teaching should be a essential service this is not in the best interest of the children everyone should be happy to just have a job !!

My family took the goal setting portion of the last report card to heart. We set SMART goals for the next semester. The M in SMART is measurable. My son has been telling me for weeks how excited he is to show me his report cards because he is sure he met his goals. His face when he found out he would have nothing to show for his hard work was in one word heart breaking. How can not one adult the school system think my child is worth the few minutes of their time to reward his hard work? He met his obligations to you, it is time for you to meet your obligations to him.

Year end grades are an essential part of the education process for both students and parents to evaluate both the student's success as well as their areas for improvement. Not issuing final grades is a failure of the school system at all levels. It is ultimately the Board's responsibility to the students and their parents to see to it that final marks are made available in a timely and convenient manner.

Many children deserve to have their hard work included in their permanent files.

I am very disappointed by the teachers, the Board and the union in this decision. The teachers say they are taking action in the best interest of our children, but this is doing other but hurting the children. They work hard all year and deserve to have that work rewarded with report cards.

My daughter was one of the first all day every day kindergarten students. Now in grade 3 she didn't write the eqao to see the rewards and instead , cost taxpayers millions. Now ,they are unable to obtain their results they worked hard for. What are we teaching this generation? To think inside the box, not compromise and protest if you don't get what you want to hurt others? The government, school board and teachers have let us down! shame on Ontario!

What about foregoing the personal novels that accompany every grade... What if the teachers kept it simple and to the point like our reports used to be back in the 80's when we were kids?

This work to rule is now hurting our kids. Get the reports entered so our kids have a reason to work hard in school.
