How will we know if they have improved. My daughter does not bring home every mark for every assignment. Teachers only contact you throughout the year if there is something wrong. A full page ad in the Toronto Star says to call your principal to get the grades, and we can't even do that.

Please provide students with the marks they deserve. The teachers have provided the marks to administration on time. Don't punish the students for their hard work. The fact that the Board has directed Principals to not release the grades to parents is absolutely atrocious.

Surely there is a legal firm willing to represent students and their families ( pro-bono ) to send a message back that this is unacceptable.

Please let us have reports. Our children need to know how they have done.

Tired of my children being used as pawns. I know they are passing, I need to know how successful they were and how I can help them over the summer so they start next year on the right foot.

Other boards are able to do this. WRDSB trustees and board staff have disappointed many!

This is a shame. Shame on the teachers not completing the report cards. The students are now being punished for a decision made by the teacher's. Not fair to all students who worked hard this year.

I think that every child should receive a report card at the end of this school year. Providing abbreviated report cards is not acceptable.

Stop using our children as bartering pieces!!! This is only teaching them when you don't get your way you will throw a hissy fit and don't care who gets hurt a long the way. This is disrespectful to all the children in Waterloo Region Schools. Our children deserve better!

this is disgraceful that they will withhold the grades of the children. They have worked hard all year for these, and have no part in the dispute. They have a right to know.

This kind of action is too personal; it has too much of a negative impact on those all sides are supposed to be advocating for. This kind of strategy is selfish and indicates no regard for what is in the students best interest. What is the point of a 'Placement Letter'? I thought we had a ' leave no one behind' policy?
So unfair.. release their report cards,
