Report Cards, Please.

not only is it important for students to see the results of their year. It is also an important keepsake for some.

We push students to be interested and invested in their studies, to be productive, to accomplish academic feats, to seek knowledge and to improve their skills. Benchmarks are important, and measurable results should be communicated, without exception. While I don't pretend to have a thorough understanding of the employment issues and other factors in play between educators and their governing bodies, nor do I feel it's right for anyone to make judgments without said knowledge, I do believe that these issues should not affect student care. The grades are available and to withhold them is not in the best interests of students. Isn't this the point?

Report cards are important. Especially for my middle child who is graduating grade 8!

i would like to know where my son is struggling so i can help him when he transfers into high school in September!

Kids are deserved to have a detail report car for their whole year' hard work. The students are innocent why do they pay such a cost???!!!

Do the right thing WRSB and enter the grades for Elementary student report cards. What are you teaching the kids by denying them the grades they have worked hard for all year? Aim low as hard work is not rewarded, that's what! Other school boards are providing grades, so should you!

Please release the marks so that students know where they stand for next year.

I have already emailed my trustee...but only received a "politcal" answer in return. VERY disappointed that they are going to spend money and time on a placement letter instead of their actual marks...same amount of time and money, no? Not impressed

I would like to know what improvements my daughter has made in grade one

I have way too much to say, and probably shouldn't as it's not very nice. But I will say that, withholding information, such as report cards should not be an option.

Part of a teachers job is completing reports cards and providing students with their performance for the year. Not completing this key task means they should not receive full pay.

This is ridiculous and should have nothing to do with the work to rule...

Report cards are essential to helping children learn from their mistakes. If there is an area that required feedback and now requires attention, that child will go onto next year without that help. Please, release the information for the children's sake.

If teachers are not willing to do their job duties, find new teachers to replace them. There's plenty of qualified professionals that would be more than able to fill the role. I cannot strike. Perhaps the payroll department should strike and refuse to enter their pay cheques into the system.

The children have a right to know what their final marks are. Please allow them this right.

The children's report cards are not a bargaining chip.
