We the undersigned support Dr. Alesia Ford-Burse to replace Charlie Van Zant Jr. on the Clay County School Board during his deployment.
She is highly qualified to conduct the business of the School Board. She is a graduate of the University of Florida and she has a Ph.D. from the University of South Florida. She has over 20 years of experience in education.

I have been working behind the scenes to get Dr. Ford-Burse’s credentials in front of the right people in the Governor's office. It is frustrating to face this kind of silence when our children deserve someone with her level of experience leading the school board while the seat is vacant.

Seeing this level of support for Dr. Ford-Burse makes me realize just how much our community wants someone with her experience representing our students. I am grateful to everyone who recognizes that our schools deserve this kind of leadership while Van Zant is away.

Dr. Ford-Burse is exactly who we need. She has the experience and the drive to do this right while he is away.
We need someone with her educational background making decisions for our kids. She is way more qualified than anyone else mentioned.
