We, the undersigned, respectfully request the Oyster River School Board call for an emergency meeting to appoint Ann Wright to serve her vacated position until a new member is elected on March 13th. Background On January 17th, Ann Wright submitted her letter of resignation from the Oyster River School Board, effective January 24. Ms. Wright understands that in order to allow the community to elect the Board member who will serve in her place, she will need to vacate her seat by January 24th. The Board may appoint a replacement to serve in her stead between now and the March 13th election. We believe it is in the best interest of the community to have a full seven-member knowledgeable board seated as the superintendent search enters its final stage and the Board prepares to present its budget to voters at the deliberative session. Ann Wright has expressed a willingness to serve if appointed. Her appointment allows the Board to continue its work with no further disruption or distractions.
