Our school cafeteria in UWF uses only plastic straws. Plastic takes more than 200 years to break down, and plastic straws are not recyclable items. Paper straws are more biodegradable than plastic straws. If our school makes the switch from plastic straws to paper straws, we are no longer damaging the environment. Sign this petition to show the new vendors arriving in the summer that we are no longer a plastic straw campus.

This is so important! Plastic hurts marine life and our oceans. I try not to use plastic straws whenever possible!
Just get rid of them already. They’re horrible for the earth. They kill innocent turtles all the time.
Sustainability is a huge priority for #yourUWF. Léonie and Rhea intend to bring this petition to our new dining providers in May to show them that Argos care about the environment. Please share this with all of your classmates and make our campus a little bit greener.
Love this idea! I pick up over 10 plastic straws on campus every time I go to class. This is the peefect eco friendly option for UWF.
