Recently the pbtisd school board has made it so that everyone from preschool to high school must wear uniforms. The school made the decision for us and now is continuing to add more to the dress code than we've had in the past ten years. Not to mention the dress code is in violation of article 19 of the handbook of basic human rights, adopted by the U.S. in 1948. Article 19 states that any and all people regardless of age, race, gender, or othwise are given the right of expression. By enforcing this strict dress code, they are not only stealing our rights as Americans, but as human beings as well. Therefore, by signing this petition we're allowing our voices to be heard.
