I have been busy meeting with a few local residents who are equally troubled by this tax, and your signatures have opened doors that were previously shut. It truly humbles me to see how much you care about this issue because your passion is the only reason we are being taken seriously at all.

I am truly overwhelmed by the momentum we have built together. This outcome belongs entirely to you because I never imagined this many people would feel so strongly about fixing this unfair tax.

This tax is uncalled for and only places a bigger burden for responsible landlords who are trying to make a living.
This is not the way to stop the partying by college kids. Very midguided. Want to stop the partying? Find cities that have effectively fixed the problem and copy what they did. They're out there.
Bad idea- I am guessing Hamden is a test case. If it happens in Hamden what town is next?
I do not support an illegal tax that further burdens property owners and has the added indecency to give out the personal info of college students.
the housing permit, money aside, is a direct violation of fair housing forcing landlords without the permit to turn away prospective tenants just because they are students and for no other reason. It also is a violation of the privacy rights of students that live within the Hamden community, why should their personal information be handed out for anyone to use as they like.
Let's hope the town of Hamden will come to its senses and revoke this unjust tax! Thank you to CTPOA for highlighting these issues, so we can respond.

It's already expensive enough for owners of investment property! Ultimly this expense would be passed on to the Students. It's already a disgrace as to how much has to be Spent by the Students and the Parents to educate our children in the United State's today.
