We are constantly hearing about the lack of community in Ireland, the lack of young people supporting local teams, engaging with politics. Why Galway Utd would makes such a decision is beyond me - I can only imagine that somebody's sensibilities were offended and if that's the case - it is terrifying to think of the power those people have to silence and exclude anyone they disagree with. Ban all politics from your stadium, if you wish but surely this is how communities work - they interact, debate, explore rather than shut down differences. By all means ban politics but very few of our sporting heroes are famed for political neutrality. Someone in your organisation does not like these people, that's fine - he doesn't have to - sportsmanship is about decency and dignity. This action does not reflect these values. Think on the ethos of your club and consider whether or not your actions are in keeping with them.

Ridiculous to ban someone for helping the incredible cause of basic human rights for women in Ireland. Let them and their banner back in!!

I still see local bankers allowed to attend the stadium who have robbed honest united fans money, with not even an eyelid bat at them. You banned someone with no grounds, where is Freedom of Speach and Equality here?
