The mandate has been struck down and our rights are finally being recognized again. It has been a long and draining road to reach this point but I am relieved that we stayed the course. We will be watching closely to ensure this victory holds.

Massachusetts gun laws have infringed on the rights of the people to bear arms for far too long. They have become so draconian that to exercise our right to bear arms, one guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the Constitution for the United States and Article XVII of the Massachusetts State Constitution, the people of Massachusetts have already been judged guilty without due process. This petition is here by established to repeal the Assault Weapons ban in Massachusetts and protect the Second Amendment rights of the people of Massachusetts.

I'm a law abiding citizen and have always been with no criminal record or such. Yet this ban wants to penalize me and others like me as if we are criminals. Not like these bans have ever truly stopped criminals from procuring what they want anyways.
Criminals don't obey laws,it's that simple. The answer isn't to take away the rights of law abiding citizens to defend themselves,especially when things are getting worse!
I feel this ban is unconstitutional. If the fore fathers had this ban back then, the assault rife then would have been the muzzle loader.
I do not own a gun so i am not a fanatic i thing ill intensions are the root not the leagal gun owner there are legislators that cut the health care for mental health issues then blame it on the gun lobby.
This unilateral move by the AG is an over reach of her power and subverts the power of the legislature and the govener. She should be removed from office forth with. Massachusetts should move to mirror what the current federal law allows and stop suppressing the second most important right we have.
Let’s get our constitutional rights back!

This law has literally never saved a life. Having a 10 round magazine when you should have had a 17 round magazine, but for the law you didn't. The bad guy shoots you 7 more times then you do him. These types of "gun control" laws COST lives NOT save lives.
